Orchestras. We agree to attend all scheduled rehearsals and follow the code of conduct of an All-Region Orchestra member. As the parent / legal guardian of the applicant, I authorize Region 25 Orchestra officials to seek medical help for my child, if needed. TMEA REGION XXV RULES & PROCEDURES 1. All directors must be current members of TMEA and hold a valid membership card. 2. Any sponsoring director who enters a student for any TMEA Region XXV Orchestra function must be available for all middle school and high school auditions and activities, or his/her students will not be allowed to participate in the All-Region process and the director will forfeit all fees. A director may only be excused in an extreme emergency, but must secure the services of a chairman approved adjudicator who will serve as a proxy at the missed function. 3. If chosen to participate, each student must attend all scheduled rehearsals and the All-Region Orchestra performance. If they cannot fulfill their obligation, an alternate may be called. 4. All TMEA activities follow UIL guidelines regarding eligibility (No Pass – No Play). 5. All students participating are expected to be on time to each scheduled All-Region event (Rehearsals and Performance). Students arriving late may forfeit their chair and an alternate may be put in their place. 6. All students participating will demonstrate expected rehearsal discipline and personal behavior at each scheduled All-Region event. Anything less may result in removal from all TMEA activities. 7. Directors with students participating in the clinic and concert will perform duties as assigned by the Region Chair and must be present at the host site while any student from his/her school are present. 8. It is the individual director’s responsibility to be aware of, and follow all TMEA policies. This includes, but not limited to those regarding student eligibility for participation in the region audition process. Failure to comply with TMEA policies will be subject to the TMEA Grievance Process.
